Welcome to Langley Tracks! A beautifully restored Victorian railway station in Langley-upon-Tyne, Northumberland (formerly know as The Garden Station, Langley). Once a stop along the Hexham to Allendale railway, the last train departed in 1950, but this historic space has found new life. Now, under the care of new guardians William and Eleanor from early 2025, it has been thoughtfully reimagined as a vibrant hub for creativity, relaxation, and celebration.
Unwind in the woodland sauna, set among the trees. Join a pottery class in the old waiting room, now transformed into a welcoming studio. This unique and characterful setting is also available for a variety of events, from workshops and performances to gatherings, pop-ups, and parties. Whether you’re exploring pottery for the first time, soaking in the gentle warmth of the sauna, or bringing loved ones together for a special occasion, every experience at Langley Tracks is designed with care, warmth and intention.
Our Pottery Classes
Get hands-on with clay and explore the craft of pottery in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Whether you’re new to the wheel or looking to build on existing skills, our courses are designed to be accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding. Under the guidance of experienced potter Eleanor, you’ll learn the techniques needed to turn a ball of clay into a unique piece.
Our classes take place in the old waiting room, now a fully equipped pottery studio. We offer private wheel-throwing sessions for focused learning and group classes that blend wheel work with hand-building techniques. Pottery is not only a creative skill but also a chance to slow down, focus, and enjoy the process.
No matter your experience level, you’ll leave with more than just a finished piece, you’ll gain confidence, a deeper appreciation for the craft, and the satisfaction of making something with your own hands.
