General FAQ's
Where can I park?
There is parking for up to about 10 vehicles along the fence line just as you go under the bridge. Please leave space at the top to act as a turning circle.
You can also park on the pavement opposite the entrance and walk up the track.
How do I find Langley Tracks? Is there public transport access?
Take the A69 Newcastle/ Carlisle & turn onto A686 nr Haydon Bridge. Continue for 2.5 miles past Langley Saw Mill & turn left onto B6925. Langley Tracks is opposite Langley Village Hall, take the sharp left & continue under the Railway bridge.
Alternatively you can take the 688 Tynedale links bus service to Allenheads which stops at the crossroads, it’s then a 7 minute walk.

What are your opening times?
Langley Tracks is only open when the sauna is running or there is a workshop or event on. You can keep up to date by checking our Facebook & Instagram pages under our name Langley Tracks.
Is there disability access?
We welcome people with disabilities. Areas of the site are wheelchair friendly however not everywhere. The surfaces are uneven. Wheelchairs will be able to access the platform overlooking the garden.
Are toilet facilities readily available on site?
There is 1 toilet on site. For bigger events we recommend hiring portable toilets.
Can I bring my dog?
You can bring your dog but they must be kept on a lead at all times and it is up to you as the owner to know your dog’s behaviour. Dogs allowed here must be gentle mannered.
What payment methods do you accept?
Most payment methods are available however where possible we try to take payment online. Sauna & pottery sessions are available to book online.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy for booked sessions (Pottery/Sauna)?
You are entitled to a refund up to 24 hours in advance to the booked slot for a sauna/ pottery session.
Is there accommodation available nearby?
Yes there is up the road at the Langley Dam Glamping site. You will find there luxury self service pods for the perfect night stay.
Can we bring our own snacks/drinks? Do you sell refreshments?
We welcome those with dietary requirements to bring their own refreshments as we cannot cater to all needs.

How do I book a pottery session?

What should I wear to a pottery class? Is it messy?
You will be working with a terracotta red clay body, it can get messy! Clay does wash out of clothes however don’t wear your Sunday best. Aprons will be provided. Long hair needs to be tied back and nail kept short, you will find it hard with acrylic nails.
Do I need to bring anything with me to the pottery session?
Just enthusiasm!
When and how do I get my finished pottery pieces?
An email will be sent to whoever made the booking when the pots are ready to collect. Expect to receive the email around 2-4 weeks later. Depending on the time of year and how warm it is, the process can take less time. The pots go through a process of drying, decorating, firing, glazing, firing and then packing.
Are the clay and glazes used food-safe?
Yes the pots are intended to be used for functional use, they are food safe, and can go in the dishwasher and microwave.

Sauna FAQ's
How do I book a sauna session?
Please see the relevant pages on our website. There you will find the opening times, dates and how to make a payment to secure the booking.
Can I bring my children to the sauna?
As the sauna temperature typically exceeds 60 degrees it is not advised that children under 16 participate. Children over 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
What should I bring for my private sauna session?
Please bring swimwear, two towels, water bottle, flip-flops and a torch (if it’s dark).
Are towels provided, or should I bring my own?
Towels are not provided. It’s a good idea to bring 2 towels per person, 1 towel to lie on in the sauna and 1 towel to dry yourself with when getting changed.
Are there changing facilities and showers available?
There is an undercover changing area with benches & hooks to hang clothes, and a cold rinse to reset.
How long is a typical private sauna booking slot?
The sauna is typically booked for 1 hour. Changing is included in the hourly session so expect to spend roughly 45 minutes in the sauna/cold plunge & 15 minutes changing.
Is the cold plunge pool available year-round? What temperature is it roughly?
The cold plunge is always available alongside the sauna. Roughly the temperature is between 8-12 degrees depending on the time of year.

Event Hire
Can I put on an event/ hire the venue?
Of course! We want Langley Tracks to be a diverse vibrant place. We would love to hear from you, please get in touch using the contact form.
What is the capacity of the venue?
In the summertime the venue using the gardens can host up to 75 people, the station waiting room can hold up to 20 people.
Do you cater for vegans/ gluten free / allergies?
When we cater our events we predominantly offer home-made vegetarian food. We are unable to accommodate all allergies, and we cannot guarantee that our food is free from traces of allergens. For other events It is up to the event organiser and external caters as to what requirements they can accommodate.
Can we arrange our own catering and drinks for an event?
External caters are necessary for large events. We hold an alcohol license and will provide a stocked bar.
What is the policy on alcohol/music for events?
Sensible drinking must be adhered to and music is allowed on until 11pm.
Are tables, chairs, or other furniture included with venue hire?
The Waiting Room furniture is included with the venue hire. For outdoor use, tents, marquees & furniture are available for an additional fee.
